This training will give participants practical tools to manage and de-escalate conflict while staying professional, empathetic, and grounded in trust. Using real examples, reflective discussion, and scenarios tailored to their roles, participants will strengthen their ability to listen actively, set clear boundaries, and communicate respectfully under pressure. The session uses trauma informed and plain language practices that support confidence and psychological safety.

 

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

● Identify common triggers and sources of conflict in their roles

● Use simple de-escalation tools that reduce tension and support respect

● Strengthen empathy and active listening during disagreements

● Practice clear, boundary setting communication that maintains professionalism

● Reflect on their own conflict habits and confidence

● Commit to one action or mindset shift for future board or community interactions
