Duration

Description

Congratulations, your project is in construction! Now What?
Construction brings together many professionals, each with a different role, responsibility, and perspective. This training is designed to demystify the design/construction process and the different players at the table, helping development project managers understand not only who does what, but how all of those roles work together to move a project successfully from closing through completion. Through real-world examples and interactive exercises, participants will leave with a better understanding of who does what, what questions to ask, and what project managers should be paying attention to during construction.

Participants will hear directly from four practitioners representing the key members of a construction team:

  • Developer: Ricky Guerra, AVP of Real Estate & Assets, JPNDC
  • Architect: Kendra Halliwell, AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal, Design Team Leader, ICON Architecture
  • General Contractor: Dan Ren, PHIUS Certified Builder, Senior Project Manager, NEI General Contracting
  • Owner's Project Manager (OPM): Melanie Coo, RA, Tierney Development Services

MKI will provide coffee and pastries in the morning and lunch in the afternoon.
