Description
The Asian Community Fund at the Boston Foundation invites you to the release of a new, groundbreaking report highlighting The State of the AAPI Arts and Culture Sector in Massachusetts. Join us in celebrating the many economic, cultural, and social contributions of AAPI arts leaders and culture bearers across the state, and uplifting key recommendations to amplify the visibility, reach, and impact of this burgeoning sector.
This research was conducted by Diversity North Group Consulting and powered by the AAPI Arts and Culture Collaborative – a key initiative of the Asian Community Fund, aiming to convene and catalyze the AAPI arts and culture community across Massachusetts to take collective action and drive systems change. Since its launch in 2024, the Collaborative has engaged nearly 300 AAPI arts leaders, creatives, and allies across the state, and mobilized 84 individuals to participate in working groups focused on three strategic pillars: Asset Mapping, Narrative Change, and Advocacy & Funding.
Be among the first to explore the vivid findings at this forum, where we'll present and discuss the key assets, challenges, and opportunities facing the state’s growing and diverse AAPI cultural community. This ambitious research project also includes the curation of a first-ever working inventory of more than 240 AAPI-centric arts & culture organizations in Massachusetts, a dynamic list of nearly 100 annual AAPI festivals and cultural events throughout the state, as well as powerful insights on elevating more representative and empowering narratives about our local AAPI community.
