Meeting the moment: Racial Equity in MA Housing Policy
Duration:
1 hour
Location
Online
Description
NOW ON MAY 17TH! Join us on 5/17 at 10:00am on Zoom for a conversation on racial equity and housing with Attorney Mark Martinez of Massachusetts Law Reform Institute. We are keeping the focus on the housing crisis, as racism is deeply embedded in housing policy.
At this event, learn about the Housing Bond Bill, the largest proposed investment in housing in Massachusetts history. We will work to build an understanding of the bill's strengths, ways it can change for the better, and areas it will not go far enough towards repair. We will conclude by reflecting on Mel King's legacy as a model for putting knowledge of oppressive systems into legislative action.
