Description
In partnership with the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, we are excited to introduce the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) for Consultants Program. Focusing on racial equity, this is a cohort-based program designed for nonprofit consultants who are particularly interested in honing their skill and confidence in integrating a racial equity lens into their work with clients.
Over the course of eight sessions, participants will gain insights into the evolving field of DEIB practice, engage with key frameworks, and apply learnings to their own practice all within a learning community of peers.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BUILDING YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND INTEGRATING A RACIAL EQUITY LENS INTO YOUR WORK FOR YOUR CLIENTS? IF SO, ARE YOU:
A practicing consultant with four or more years of experience?
Enthusiastic about deepening the work of your nonprofit clients to create more inclusive and equitable organizational cultures?
Excited to learn with and from peers in a cohort-based experience?
Curious and willing to explore your practice and personal background?
Looking to engage in difficult conversations with peers and prepared to learn through self-reflection?
Eager to learn more about systems of oppression and the impact of structural inequities specific to race and ethnicity?
Then this program is for you. Whether your client work focuses on fundraising, financial management, event planning, marketing, or organizational development, this program will help hone your practice.
In addition to race, gender identity and sexual orientation, we aim to select a cohort that is also diverse in functional expertise and experience. Our goal is to help you build your skill, confidence, and knowledge base for the rest of your career.
We are grateful for the support of the Barr Foundation and The Boston Foundation in making this program available for consultants.
