Description

Got Conflict? Need to deal with a difficult situation? Or make a difficult Request? How much resilience do you have to fall back on when stressors or difficult situations occur? Having tension between people is inevitable – people want and need different things at different times, but having the skills to move smoothly through conflict and resolve tension is the key. In the Grounded Resilience training you’ll learn concrete tools to manage your own inner reactive parts, and tools to manage differences and conflicts with staff, leaders, colleagues, friends and family. Work with how to make direct requests with Nonviolent communication method. We’re teaching the Grounded Resilience skills which we’ve used successfully to facilitate dialogues to help people really hear each other across the Israel-Palestine divisions, and to address conflicts in a wide range of groups – from a Black-led, racial justice organization, to a Buddhist teaching collective – because, hey, everyone deals with conflict, and when you have the skills and tools to manage it, you’ll not only succeed, but you’ll gain emotional resilience and inner well being.

More than simply a leadership development workshop, we are offering a transformative training that brings healing, awareness, and resilience from the center out across three layers – healing people’s internal parts, interpersonal relationships, and community and organizational ecosystems. With Grounded Resilience, people can become the source of grounded self-energy in their organizations, with interpersonal skills to help their ecosystems shift and grow. With Grounded Resilience we can bolster organizing and organizers, starting from a grounded center out, with the skillful practices and structure that can help people embody the very world we want to create, based in love, understanding, healing, and connection. This pivotal moment demands a fusion of organizing prowess and a set of proven and wise skills for resilience. To meet this challenge, the Center for Grounded Action is providing the Grounded Resilience training to offer teachable skills in emotional resilience, interpersonal conflict resolution, and organizational strengthening.
