This is a two part, online training.

In this session you will learn an overview of LIHTC program, that explains the role of the LIHTC program in funding and supporting affordable housing.  This is not a LIHTC compliance session. Instead it provides an overview of how the LIHTC program enables and supports the mission and operations of nonprofit housing practitioners.

Course includes origins of the program, discussion of LITHC as a development subsidy, role of the IRS and the states, an introduction to LPs and LLCs, a review of restrictions and investor benefits, simplified review of tax credit financial calculations and a discussion of the development to operations transition.
