Guest Speaker: Congressman Barney Frank
With one year left in the 111th Congress, there are many crucial housing issues hanging in the balance. This includes: funding for the Affordable Housing Trust Fund; improvements to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program; regulatory reform of the financial services industry; preservation of multifamily rental housing; reform of the Section 8 Voucher Program; improvements to the Section 202 and 811 Programs; foreclosure assistance; the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; appropriations for core HUD programs; and much more.
How will the recent election of Senator-elect Scott Brown and the upcoming mid-term elections impact the agenda in Congress? What will be the strategy to move these initiatives forward amid a challenging climate and the call for deficit reduction? Come hear Congressman Barney Frank address these and other important issues.
